Thanks to El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, we finally know what happened to Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul). And that payoff was well worth the wait. Spoilers ahead for El Camino.

Set after the finale of Breaking Bad, El Camino focuses on Jesse’s continued escape. Towards the end of Season 5, Jesse was captured by a gang of neo-Nazis. Jesse’s former partner Walt (Bryan Cranston) sold him to these monsters, by the way, all of which were working on the orders of Todd’s (Jesse Plemons) scumbag Uncle Jack. Though Walt told them to kill Jesse, the White Supremacists had other plans, forcing Jesse to cook crystal meth for months. That lasted until Walt had a change of heart and broke Jesse out of his literal cage. El Camino picks up right after that moment.

So how did this story end for Jesse? After spending most of El Camino scrambling for cash, Jesse finally got enough money together to pay off Ed the Disappearer (Robert Forster), a vacuum cleaner repairman who specializes in setting people up with new identities. Thanks to Ed, his friends Badger and Skinny Pete, and a whole lot of luck, Jesse was given a chance to start over in Alaska. His new name? Mr. Driscoll.

But what happened to the rest of Breaking Bad‘s criminally inclined cast? Let’s start with who we know are dead. Because of news reports that played during the film we can now confirm that both Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and the corrupt exec Lydia (Laura Fraser) are officially deceased. Walt bled out after a shootout with the neo-Nazis. If Mr. White ever returns to this universe, it’s going to be as a memory.

As for who’s still alive, we know that Jesse’s besties Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) and Badger (Matt L. Jones) are still going strong. Skinny may get some heat since the police now know Jesse visited him. But at the moment it’s unlikely either will be facing any jail time. Similarly, Jimmy McGill, aka Saul Goodman, aka Gene Taković, is most likely all good, man. Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) didn’t appear in El Camino, but over Better Call Saul‘s four seasons Jimmy’s new career as a Cinnabon manager has seemed to work out for him. Also, because of an Instagram post we know that Jimmy’s favorite security guard Huell (Lavell Crawford) is doing just fine.

And thankfully the most important person to Jesse, Brock Cantillo (Ian Posada), is still alive. Throughout Seasons 4 and 5 Jesse dated Andrea (Emily Rios), a struggling addict with a young son and a heart of gold. Though they originally met while Jesse was trying to sell her meth, Jesse quickly became a good influence and started paying for a nicer apartment for Andrea and Brock. Jesse later broke up with the single mother, fearing that he was too much of a danger to her. Things were never completely peaceful between Jesse and Andrea, but they were mostly all right. That was until the sociopathic Todd (Jesse Plemons) murdered Andrea to punish Jesse for an escape attempt.

By the beginning of El Camino, Brock is an orphan. We don’t know if his grandmother is raising him now, but we know he’s somewhere stable enough to have a permanent address. One of the final scenes in El Camino shows Ed holding onto Jesse’s goodbye letter to Brock as the former meth cook drives away. It may not be much, but at least Jesse was able to protect one kid from his life of chaos.
