If you thought Jeff Bridges looked squintier than normal during his Monday interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, you’re not alone. Last night, the legendary actor sat down with ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel to discuss his upcoming 70th birthday, and he made it clear that he has no plans to slow down. Bridges revealed that he hung out with fellow guest Snoop Dogg before his interview, so of course, Kimmel promptly interrogated him about whether they smoked weed together. To his credit, the Dude didn’t give away any details, saying, “That’s none of your damn business, James!”
Kimmel wasted no time before diving into the Snoop of it all. At the very beginning of the interview, the ABC host asked Bridges about his backstage behavior, saying, “I heard you were chatting with Snoop Dogg in his dressing room before.” With a mischievous smile — or just his normal face; it’s hard to tell — the actor said that he did hang out in the rapper’s dressing room (Snoop was there to perform with Morris Day). “That worried me a little bit,” joked Kimmel.
“I can see that,” replied Bridges. “Yeah, we had a good time. I’m a big fan of his.” Kimmel asked the legendary actor if he’s “met Snoop before,” and Bridges insisted that he has not. “I love — this is a great pairing, the two of you,” said the late night host. “It’s really cool, yeah. I admire how he’s an adventurer,” replied the True Grit star.
“Did you smoke with the adventurer?” asked Kimmel, finally coming right out with it. “Well, that’s none of your damn business, James!” said Bridges. Kimmel offered a quick assessment of his guest. “I’m looking at you, it doesn’t seem like you did,” insisted Kimmel (as if he could actually tell. Remember: Jeff. Bridges.). “No, I’m good. I’ve got a great threshold,” said the star, earning a round of laughs from the audience. Did Jeff Bridges smoke with Snoop or not? The world deserves to know.
