If you’ve been keeping up with Mad Lib-inspired gossip, you already know that Lindsay Lohan‘s latest feud has been with the Australian version of The Masked Singer. Dueling accounts have emerged about whether Lohan will be asked to return as a judge for the second season of the celebrity singing competition. It’s a story as insane as it sounds, but I have a simple solution: bring LiLo to the American version of The Masked Singer.

First a recap: The Masked Singer is a singing reality show that’s shockingly popular. Basically, the series follows a group of masked celebrities who sing against each other every episode. No one knows who’s behind each mask, and before every performance contestants drop pointed clues about their celebrity identities. Each round the winner goes on to sing another episode and the loser is unmasked and forced to return to their rich and famous life. It’s sheer madness that’s just insane enough to be a good time. And because the Australian version of the show apparently needed an extra dose of WTF, Lindsay Lohan has been on as a judge.

Lohan’s judging drama started early in the season. According to on-set reports, the Life-Size star threw tantrums behind the scenes. Those accusations led to an unnamed source telling local Australian magazine New Idea that Lohan would be replaced in Season 2 because of her “diva” behavior. The Get a Clue powerhouse then slammed that report as a lie and revealed that she plans on returning for Season 2.

I’m not here to pick sides, but allow me to make an observation. The Australian version of The Masked Singer is getting dramatic. It’s bad for you, Lindsay. Ditch it. Come back stateside.

Look, I’ve never seen an episode of the Australian Masked Singer and I probably never will. But I do know its American counterpart very well. It is exactly the sort of chill nonsense any celebrity looking for a comeback would be happy to coast on. Currently The Masked Singer‘s judging panel is made up of one overly enthusiastic star very few people knew before this show (Nicole Scherzinger), one pretty good but unenthused guesser (surprisingly Robin Thicke), and two of the worst sleuths on television (Jenny McCarthy and Ken Jeong). If they were originally supposed to be helping the audience figure out who’s behind those masks, they have all been failing at their jobs. Really, the judges on the American version of The Masked Singer are just there to bumble and make pun-filled jokes that would make wine moms laugh.

It’s a low-stakes gig. Throw Lohan on that panel. She could make bad jokes as well as Jenny McCarthy and probably get more love for it. And because she’s Herbie Fully Loaded star Lindsay Lohan, she’d immediately boost ratings. It’s a win-win.

Fox wouldn’t even have to boot one of its current judges to make room for Lohan. Season 1 featured a variety of guest judges, proving that the show could work with five. Also? Of course The Masked Singer could work with five judges. Literally nothing matters on this show, least of all its judges. They only have 50 percent of the voting power, and even that percentage seems suspect.

After the terrible way we as a society have treated Lohan for years, we owe her a cushy reality TV job. Take this one. Throw Lindsay Lohan on as a judge, a guest judge, or hell, as a contestant. Just return her to us, Fox.

New episodes of The Masked Singer premiere on Fox Wednesdays at 8/7c.
