Howard Stern has nothing on Jennifer Aniston. On Monday, The Morning Show star stopped by Ellen, where she shared a kiss with host Ellen DeGeneres in an attempt to one-up Howard Stern’s mid-October smooch. The women successfully completed their mission (the video and photo have since gone viral), and afterwards, DeGeneres thanked Aniston for giving the people what they want. “That’s what they wanted to see,” said the Ellen host. “They’ve been wanting that for years.”
During the interview, which aired Monday on Ellen, Aniston asked DeGeneres how she ended up kissing Stern two week prior. “He asked for the kiss,” the host insisted. When Aniston followed up with a dozen more questions, DeGeneres laughed it off, saying, “Is this something that’s going to turn you on? Why is this important to you?”
“When was the last time you kissed a guy?” asked Aniston. “I kiss guys like that. I don’t make out with guys, but I kiss guys on the lips,” replied the Ellen host, before asking, “When was the last time you kissed a girl on the lips?” With that, it was clear what was about to go down.
Aniston insisted that she doesn’t “kiss girls on the lips,” and DeGeneres immediately leaned towards her guest, a huge smile on her face. The audience cheered as the former Friends star fluffed her hair in preparation. Finally, she leaned in, and the audience went wild.
“That’s what they wanted to see. They’ve been wanting that for years,” said DeGeneres after the brief kiss. “That’s the last time I kissed a girl,” replied Aniston. The actress noted that DeGeneres has “such soft lips,” and the host took the compliment. “So do you. That’s why I do what I do,” she said with a smile. “No razor burn. Soft lips.”
DeGeneres posted the photo on Instagram, where it has since received more than 1.7 million likes. That Jennifer Aniston, she sure knows how to set Instagram on fire.
