Good Boys (2019)

Powered by Reelgood

Take a big sigh of relief, people, because November has begun. Since the hectic Halloween season filled with manic kids, DIY costumes and enough parties to last a lifetime is finally over, make this weekend your much-deserved break. We empathize with you; and if the amazing lineup of movies coming out on Amazon Video, iTunes, Vudu and your cable’s on demand service is any indication, the universe does too! So dive into that bucket of candy you’ve confiscated from your kids for “health reasons” and check out the great films that are now available to explore.

This weekend’s lineup is all about indulgence since these movies are perfect for people ready to let every bottled up emotion bottled go! If you are in the mood to forget your problems with a hysterically raunchy and uncomplicated film, then Seth Rogen’s Good Boys is the perfect film for you. This raunchy comedy follows the misadventures of three 12-year-old boys who are very quickly introduced to the adult world through a series of misguided tween adventures. It may star young boys, but this movie is not suitable for kids! For those ready to cry your eyes out to an emotionally wrecking film, then check out The Art of Racing in the Rain. Starring Milo Ventimiglia and the voice of Kevin Costner, this film is the story of one man’s life through his intelligent dog’s eyes. And for those ready to return to childhood, then be sure to watch The Angry Birds Movie 2, where your favorite game characters are faced with a new formidable foe that will force birds and pigs alike to ban together for the first time in movie — and game — history.

Curious about what else is out there? Check out what other romantic comedies, thrillers and animated films you can buy or rent this week.

Good Boys

Seth Rogen’s latest profane comedy comes in a very different type of package in Good Boys. This buddy comedy film is about a trio of 12-year-old nobodies who are invited to their first-ever kissing party. An innocent premise enough, but the innocent kids soon fall into 24 hours of tweenage chaos thanks to an epic journey filled with bad decisions including accidental drug dealing, frat party crashing, porn site watching and more! Thanks to an amazing story from the writers that brought you Bad Teacher and the producers of Sausage PartyGood Boys is a raucous R-rated comedy that even its starring cast is technically unable to see!

The Art of Racing in the Rain

It seems that many dog-narrated movies have come out in the last few years, but in this author’s humble opinion, The Art of Racing in the Rain stands apart from the rest. Based on the best-selling novel of the same name, The Art of Racing in the Rain tells the story of an insightful dog named Enzo and his life with his owner, aspiring Formula One racer, Denny Swift. Throughout his life with his best friend, Enzo has experienced love, loss, family struggles and ultimately connects lessons on the racetrack with lessons in life. This film is a definite tearjerker, so make sure a box of tissues are nearby before you turn on The Art of Racing in the Rain.

The Pink Panther

One of the most underrated movies of all time is undoubtedly Steve Martin’s The Pink Panther. Starring Martin, the mystery-comedy film follows bumbling policeman Jacques Clouseau as he works to solve the murder of a famous soccer coach and the theft of the infamous Pink Panther diamond. The Pink Panther is filled with hysterical gimmicks, clever innuendos and physical comedy that fits right into Martin’s comedy wheelhouse. Couple that with his amazing co-star, Beyoncé, you can’t afford to miss this film! “I woooood like a hamburlger!” Anyone else?
