Is “Abbi, Abbi, Ash” the new June, June, Hannah? It certainly could be! In this exclusive clip of the next episode of Below Deck on Bravo, bosun Ashton Pienaar is wondering where his deckhand Abbi Murphy is when it’s time to be working in the morning. The answer? She’s under the covers and under the weather.
After a rowdy night out in Thailand, Abbi sent a text to her fellow crew members saying, “I don’t know if I’ll be up by 9 today, I need a toilet nearby.”
“As in she’s puking,” Ashton says out loud as he reacts to hearing the text, putting all the yucky pieces together in the process. Meanwhile, Abbi is seen coughing in her bunk and making trips to the toilet, just as she predicted she would be. But Ashton’s showing no mercy.
“Let’s be honest, I made one rule after a night out: you be on deck at the right time,” he says to Brian and Tanner, the other deckhands who managed to get themselves out of bed that morning.
“I’m frustrated with Abbi, like, where the fuck do you get off?” Ashton says in his interview, explaining of her deckhand position, “that’s your primary job, that’s what you’ve been employed to do.” Clearly, she was not hired to be hungover, but she seems to be doing an excellent job at that position in the moment.
“I was out there by 9 o’clock, as hot as it was,” Ashton tells his crew.
Also in this episode, chief stew Kate Chastain gets the hot goss from stew Courtney on her feelings about Brian, but Courtney explains why she’s “overlooking Brian’s body” until she gets to know his personality. She’s a stronger woman than many of us could ever be.
Below Deck airs Monday at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo.
