In less than a week (Tuesday, November 12 to be exact) a new streaming service is set to join the likes of Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon’s Prime Video: Disney+.
Available for $6.99/month or $69.99/year, the very best of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and more will be at your fingertips. Offering a dizzying array of over 600 films and TV shows, the Disney+ catalog includes exciting new titles like High School Musical: The Musical: The Series and old favorites like Aladdin, Sister Act, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Earlier this week, Decider answered a few of the internet’s most frequently asked questions about Disney+, while today we tackle the ins and outs of the Disney+ app. When will the Disney+ app be released? Will Disney+ be available to stream on Apple TV?

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR DISNEY+?
Disney Plus is now available for everyone! If you’re a Verizon home internet or wireless subscriber, read this step-by-step instruction guide to get your free year of Disney+. For everyone else, start here with a Disney Plus free trial.
WILL DISNEY PLUS HAVE AN APP?
Yep. All of that sweet, sweet, Disney+ content (Pixar films! Marvel movies! DuckTales reruns!) will be available to stream on the Disney+ app, which is available on iOS, Amazon, and Google Play.
WHEN WILL THE DISNEY PLUS APP BE RELEASED?
The Disney+ app will be released on Tuesday, November 12.
WHAT ARE THE DISNEY PLUS PLATFORMS?
Not only will you be able to stream Disney+ on your browser and the Disney+ app (which will be available on iOS, Amazon, and Google Play), but you’ll also be able to watch Disney+ content on most devices, including Roku, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and all Google/Apple devices (Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Chromecast, Android TV).
Disney+ will also allow unlimited downloads on up to ten devices and the ability to stream four different shows on four different devices at once.
WILL THE DISNEY PLUS APP BE AVAILABLE ON APPLE TV?
Yep! The Disney+ app will be available to download on the App Store for your iPhone, iPad, and/or Apple TV.
WILL DISNEY PLUS BE AVAILABLE ON MY SMART TV?
The Disney+ app will be compatible with both Apple and Android TVs. The Disney+ app will also be available on Amazon devices, including Fire TV streaming devices, Fire TV Edition smart TVs, and compatible Fire Tablets beginning on Tuesday, November 12th.
(An earlier version of this post stated that Disney would not have Amazon Fire TV support at launch, but Disney resolved its differences with Amazon and rectified that situation after this article was initially published.)
