The sitcoms of the ’90s are alive again thanks to The Conners, Will and Grace, and Fuller House. Now you can add one more show to that list: Mad About You. Series stars Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt are returning as Paul and Jamie Buchman, and they’re bringing their friends with them. Oh, you bet the Richard Kind renaissance continues on this revival!
While the series was never as big a hit as its Must See TV companions (Seinfeld, Friends, Frasier), Mad About You was still a major part of the maturation of multi-cam sitcoms in the decade following the kid-friendly family sitcom boom of the ’80s. Mad About You was a grown-up comedy about what it was like to be in a grown-up relationship, and it won Hunt a whole bunch of Emmys.
So, what’s up with the Mad About You revival? Where can you stream it and how can you get refreshed on the original? Here’s everything you need to know about Mad About You 2019.
When does the new Mad About You start?
The Mad About You revival limited series debuts on Wednesday, November 20. The first 6 episodes will be available to stream all at once on Spectrum TV. Then the other half of the seasons, another 6 episodes, will be released on Wednesday, December 18. So to break that down:
Episodes 1-6 will be available to stream on Wednesday, November 20
Episodes 7-12 will be available to stream on Wednesday, December 18
Where can you watch the new Mad About You?
The new Mad About You will stream exclusively on Spectrum TV, the cable company’s on demand platform.
How do you sign up for Spectrum TV?
If Spectrum is already your cable provider, then you’re good to go. You just have to sign in with your account username and password and you’ll be able to stream the new Mad About You when the first half of the season arrives on November 20. If you’re not a Spectrum customer then, well, you’ll have to switch to Spectrum for your cable and internet service in order to watch Mad About You.
Can you stream the original Mad About You? Is Mad About You on Netflix?
You can currently stream all of the original Mad About You using Spectrum’s on demand service. If you don’t have Spectrum, there’s still a way to watch old Mad About You. It’s not on Netflix or Hulu, no, but the series is currently streaming on STARZ.
You can also buy Season 3 of Mad About You on Amazon and in iTunes. That’s it, though. Just Season 3.
