Happy Friday, everyone! Thanksgiving is just one week away, so now is the perfect time to break out the cookbooks and test out new recipes that will stun your family into contented silence at the dinner table — especially that one complaining great-aunt of yours…we are looking at you, Clarice! Or, if you are celebrating a Friendsgiving in addition to the national holiday, this weekend might be your date to entertain. And we cannot think of a better side dish than a generous helping of movies and tv that you can catch on streaming. And whether you prefer Netflix, Hulu or anything in between, your favorite streaming services are ready to deliver on a variety of sweet and savory treats over the next three days.

Today, the lyrics of country music icon Dolly Parton come to life in Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings on Netflix. An eight-part anthology series, Heartstrings tells stories about love, revenge, comedy and people in each episode that is based on a different Dolly Parton song. Fans of Dolly will rejoice in seeing their favorite songs interpreted on screen, and tv lovers will enjoy the intricate stories that are told in each episode. And once you’ve stuffed yourself with heartfelt stories of love and light, take a trip to the more intense side with David Ayer’s police action film, End of Watch. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña, this intense film uses undercover footage to place you at the very center of the conflict on screen.

And for dessert, we recommend taking a trip to the dark side by eating up HBO’s Saturday film, Us. Director Jordan Peele (Key and Peele, Get Out) is back again with another psychological horror film, but this time, the nightmare comes in the form of the very victims being terrorized. Evil twins have never been so disturbing.

Curious about what else is hitting Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and HBO? Here’s what’s new on streaming this weekend.

Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings

By nature, country songs tell animated stories of love, loss and journey and it is up to the listener’s imagination to make the lyrics come to life. But in Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings, the country icon’s musicalized love stories truly come to life on screen through a limited Netflix series. Each installment of the eight-part anthology series tells a love story that is inspired by one of  Dolly Parton’s most-loved songs, including “Two Doors Down,” “Sugar Hill,” “Cracker Jack” and more! End of Watch

Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña star in David Ayer’s End of Watch. A police drama film, End of Watch follows two venerated LAPD officers whose lives are put in danger when they attempt to take down a powerful drug cartel in South Los Angeles. This enthralling action crime movie puts the viewer in the very heart of the action, leaving him/her reeling long after the credits roll.

Us

Jordan Peele made his smashing directorial debut with the Oscar-winning Get Out, and his second horror film, Us, defies the dreaded sophomore jinx. Us follows Adelaide Wilson (Lupita Nyong’o) and her family as they embark on a summer vacation at Adelaide’s old beach house. Plagued by her past, Adelaide becomes increasingly paranoid of her surroundings until she and her family find themselves the victims of four strangers who attack their home at nightfall. If that was not creepy enough, Peele ups the ante as each terrorizer turns out to be the evil doppelganger of every Wilson family member. Talk about your worst fears realized!
