Is ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ on Disney+?

Jumanji: The Next Level opens in theaters this weekend, because time is fake, apparently. This sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle—which itself, was a sequel/reboot of the 1995 Jumanji starring Robin Williams—will see the return of actors Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black as the avatars in the magical video game. Also joining the cast are newcomers Awkwafina, Danny Glover, and Danny DeVito as new characters in the game and in the real world.

It’s hard to believe it’s already been two years since Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. But considering it was the fifth-highest grossing film of 2017, it’s no big surprise that there’s a sequel coming to theaters this Friday. Jake Kasdan is back as the director, and he also co-wrote the script along with Jeff Pinkner and
Scott Rosenberg. If you didn’t get a chance to catch the first film in theaters, now would be a great time to watch it at home. But where? Read on to find out.

Is Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle on Disney+?

It is not. I regret to inform you that neither Jumanji nor Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle are Disney films, despite their whimsical premises. The original Jumanji was TriStar Pictures, and Welcome to the Jungle is Sony. Sorry!

Is Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle on Netflix?

Unfortunately, no. Jumanji is also not streaming on Amazon Prime, Hulu, or even HBO. Drat!

Where can you stream Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle online?

If you want to watch Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle at home, you’re going to have to buy it, unfortunately. The good news is you can buy or rent a digital copy of the film for a very reasonable price from iTunes, Google Play, YouTube, or wherever you prefer to purchase digital content. Happy legal streaming!
