You made it to another Friday, woop woop! It is Friday the 13th which means its time to deadbolt your doors, turn off the lights and hunker down to avoid the bad luck that could come your way. This weekend’s (apparent) theme is superheroes or the action stars that would definitely keep you safe on this very unlucky night. On Netflix be sure to catch Ryan Reynolds in his witty, action-hero glory in 6 Underground, the action film about six vigilantes who fake their deaths so they can track down and kill the world’s most dangerous criminals without facing any repercussions. And if you are still on the action/superhero bug, then tune in to the third — and final — season of the Hulu series, Marvel’s Runaways. We are ready for this show to go out in flying colors, what about you?
And HBO is keeping up the superhero theme with this week’s Saturday film, Hellboy. No, not the original 2004 movie by Guillermo del Toro, but the 2019 reboot starring Stranger Things’ David Harbour.

6 Underground
Ryan Reynolds plays another unfiltered badass in the Netflix-original film, 6 Underground. This action-thriller film follows six vigilantes who have given up their lives — literally, they fake their deaths — to hunt down the world’s worst criminals. Brought together by One (Reynolds), their leader, each team member uses his/her unique skill to help eliminate the past in pursuit of a better future. Chock-full of crazy action sequences with explosions, car chases and special effects galore, 6 Underground is the second most expensive Netflix film of all time, and we expect it to live up to every penny spent.

Marvel’s Runaways: Season 3
The third and final season of Marvel’s Runaways is out this weekend. This sci-fi drama series follows six teens who come together when they realize that their “parents” are actually supervillains. In Season 3, we catch up with Karolina Dean (Virginia Gardner), Chase Stein (Gregg Sulkin), Alex Wilder (Rhenzy Feliz) and more as they try to save their imprisoned friends while battling a supernatural dark lord (played by Elizabeth Hurley) and her vast army of minions. Introducing Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt as Cloak and Dagger respectively, this final season is sure to take the series out with a bang!

Hellboy
The 2019 reboot of the comic-book-turned-movie Hellboy is this Saturday’s HBO movie. Starring David Harbour (Stranger Things), this Hellboy reboot follows the well-known half-demon superhero as he takes to the English countryside and encounters a resurrected evil sorceress who is hell-bent on revenge. Caught between his two identities as a demon and human, Hellboy must stop Nimue from catalyzing the end of the world.
