WHO’S THAT GAL: Megan Ferguson

WHY WE’RE CRUSHING: Ferguson plays Gigi Dumont in Netflix’s new series, Soundtrackwhich drops all ten episodes of its first season today. Soundtrack features various love stories that connect diverse people all across Los Angeles, as well as the songs that live within their minds and hearts. Ferguson’s Gigi is the supportive best friend to the main protagonist, Nellie (Callie Hernandez), and in a recent interview with CBS Los Angeles, gave greater insight into the role, saying “I am a funny friend in it, but I also get my own episode. It was just my character’s world and it was a real, real dream. That was so fun and there were a couple days when it was just me.”

In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Soundtrack creator Joshua Safran said of the show, “I always knew I wanted every episode to feature on two different characters, and it was their soundtrack for that episode. It really just was these small character stories that have a beginning, middle, and end to them. I was interested in diving deep into the characters.” Well, we absolutely cannot wait to dive deep into Ferguson’s character and to hear the tunes playing inside of her head!
