Jason Momoa Is Wearing a Tank Top at the Golden Globes for a Romantic Reason

The Golden Globes have long been known as the casual awards show, the one where you’re most likely to see a drunk celebrity drop an F-bomb on live TV while clutching a statue. But even as the casual award show, people still get dressed up for the Globes. Tuxes, gowns, bedazzled pantsuits–celebs go all out!

But y’know, all that formalwear can get uncomfortable, stuffy even, especially when you’re packed into a crowded auditorium for hours on end enduring all the heat coming off of a scorching hot monologue. In that case, you might wanna cool off. And if you’re Jason Momoa, that means giving every single viewer an unexpected–but very welcome–ticket to the gun show.

While Succession’s Brian Cox, decked out in a traditional tux and some cool shades, strode to the stage to accept his award, Jason Momoa could be seen sporting just a tank top.

Viewers were, of course, into it.

Before you get all uppity, you fashion sticklers, the bodacious mountain of a man didn’t come to the awards show in the getup you’d wear to a chill get together at Hooters. No, he came sporting a quite dashing green velvet dinner jacket–one that you can see draped across the shoulders of his wife, the legendary Lisa Bonet!

Yeah, Jason Momoa’s guns were out for the most chivalrous reason possible: Lisa Bonet was chilly!

Also, I just feel like we need to take a moment to think about how Zoe Kravitz’s parents are Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz, and her stepdad is Jason Momoa. What a family.
