‘Star Wars’ Droids Team-Up with Will Arnett in ‘LEGO Masters’ Challenge

Fox’s upcoming unscripted series LEGO Masters just got a little more star-studded.

Announced as part of Fox’s Winter 2020 TCA presentation, the brick-based competition is building out its lineup with major guest stars like Terry Crews, Nicole Byer, and Mayim Bialik. They will join series host Will Arnett in spurring the competitors towards constructing complex LEGO creations.

Of particular note, though, has to be the Star Wars-themed episode that will air during LEGO Masters Season 1. In that chapter, Arnett will be joined by three very special guests: R2-D2, C-3PO, and BB-8. They’ll help inspire builders tasked with creating their own LEGO droids and recreating iconic moments from the franchise in brick form.

That’s not the only Star Wars connection, either. Filmmakers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the brains behind The LEGO Movie and executive producers (and initial directors) of Solo: A Star Wars Story, will appear in a movie genre-themed episode.

The announcement also gives insight into what’s in store for contestants on Season 1. Crews will appear in a “Good vs. Evil” challenge, Byer in a “Story Book” episode, and Bialik in a space-themed one.

LEGO Masters is the latest in a growing, international reality show franchise. The show debuted in the UK in 2017 and has aired two seasons, and it debuted in Australia in 2019. Now LEGO Masters has arrived in the States.

LEGO Masters debuts on Fox on Wednesday, February 5.
