Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn’s Amazon Fashion Series ‘Making the Cut’ Gets Debut Date

It feels like it’s been forever since Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn announced their partnership with Amazon on a new fashion series (it was September 2018, BTW), and now we finally have all the hot, hot details on Making The Cut!

Announced as part of Amazon’s TCA presentation, Making the Cut will make it’s splashy debut on March 27. The 10-episode series, co-hosted by Klum and Gunn with the former also serving as a judge and the latter a mentor, will drop two episodes a week. Season 1 will consist of 12 designers all vying for a shot at turning their brand into a global business, culminating in a big finale that will air on April 24. In a twist only Amazon could pull off, the winning looks from each episode will be available to purchase on Amazon. And the designer that goes all the way and wins the whole thing? They’ll get $1,000,000.

Klum and Gunn will be joined by various judges throughout the season, including Naomi Campbell, Nicole Richie, Joseph Altuzarra, Carine Roitfeld, and Chiara Ferragni.

Klum and Gunn first partnered up on Project Runway, where they collaborated for 16 seasons before breaking with the show in 2018. Making the Cut stands apart in that it will be a globe-trotting experience; episodes were filmed in New York, Paris, and Tokyo.

To stay up to date with Making the Cut (and to meet the 12 designers!), you can follow the show on Twitter and Instagram. And if you need a refresher on just why this is such a big deal, I’ll remind you that Tim Gunn is the most important figure in reality TV history. Get hyped.

Making the Cut premieres on Amazon Prime Video on March 27.
