When Will ‘The Circle’ Season 2 Come Out on Netflix?

We. Need. More. Circle. 2020 may have gotten off to a truly apocalyptic start but, uh, at least Netflix gave us 12 episodes of The Circle to escape into! The show ended up being way more heartwarming than anyone ever expected, and we all need a dose of this lighthearted ridiculousness ASAP.

So now that Season 1 is wrapped, when is Season 2 coming out? How long do we have to wait for more “ALERTs” and awkward emoji descriptions? When will we meet the next captivating and/or kooky catfish? Come on, Netflix, give us answers!

Here’s what we know about Season 2 of The Circle.

Will there be a Season 2 of The Circle on Netflix?

We don’t know for sure yet but… come on. The show was a massive hit for Netflix and has dominated social media conversation since its launch on January 1. Considering that the show has got to be cheap to produce and that there’s a building in England permanently outfitted to film this show, it stands to reason that Netflix would give the show a second season even if it was only a modest hit. It was way more than a modest hit. It was a blockbuster. Hopefully Season 2 will be announced soon and out on Netflix even sooner.

When will Season 2 of The Circle hit Netflix?

That’s the real question, isn’t it? While we don’t have any details yet, we can definitely speculate based on what we know. We know that there’s only one place that The Circle can be filmed, and we know that all the international versions of The Circle share that same apartment building in Salford, England. We know that in addition to the UK and US versions of the show are sharing the space with the Brazilian and French versions. So, what order are they filming in?

According to Digital Spy, the US version was filmed in October 2019 and The Circle Brazil went into production right after that. Next up: The Circle France. And Circle EP Tim Harcourt told us that production lasts 3 weeks on a season. So with that in mind, maybe they shot The Circle Brazil in December 2019 and, who knows, will shoot The Circle France in February 2020? And if the UK edition wants to keep dropping new seasons in September as it has for the past two years, then that means the apartment building will be unoccupied by a production from (I’m guessing) March to June 2020. Seems like enough time to shoot The Circle US Season 2! And if they shoot it in that timeframe, then it’ll come out in late summer. Early fall? Maybe?

The other option is that The Circle gets on a yearly track and Netflix starts kicking off every year with another round of The Circle. Let’s hope for the late summer option!

How can you get cast on The Circle Season 2?

Well, we don’t know yet because Season 2 has not been officially announced. But. If you’re interested in being on The Circle Season 2, it wouldn’t hurt to pay attention to the sites that were used to cast all the other iterations of The Circle. What about The Circle Brazil and The Circle France?

Yeah, there are two international versions of The Circle coming to Netflix before a new season of the US one, so get ready! As stated above, The Circle Brazil reportedly went into pre-production in October 2019, and The Circle France is coming up after that. Both are seemingly scheduled to drop this year and, considering the tight turnaround on these seasons, we may see them as early as this spring.
