Abby Huntsman Denies Rumors of Feuding in Final ‘View’ Appearance: “I Do Love Everyone at This Table”

Abby Huntsman is going out not with a fizzle, but with a bang. This morning, Huntsman made her final appearance on The View, and she took a few minutes to vehemently shut down rumors that she is leaving due to constant feuding with her co-hosts and the “toxic” environment at ABC. The conservative co-host, who is quitting The View to assist on her father John Huntsman Jr.’s Utah gubernatorial campaign, insisted that being on the show has been “a dream come true” and said that, despite tension with Meghan McCain, she “love[s] everyone at this table.” Alluding to Page Six and other outlets’ reporting this week, she continued, “With everything that has been written, I am leaving so thankful for all the new friends I have here.”

On Friday, The View celebrated Abby Huntsman’s last day with a montage of greatest hits, including her tense back and forth with Donald Trump Jr., her baby shower, and her Carrie Halloween costume. The panel praised her commitment to optimism, although Joy Behar jokingly admitted that her “positive spirit” could be “annoying sometimes” (she meant it with love).

The show even recruited Huntsman’s parents to participate: the duo sent in a video celebrating her two seasons on The View — she first joined in September 2018, at the beginning of Season 22 — and thanking her for joining them on the campaign trail. In a somewhat bizarre turn, her father repeatedly mentioned the ABC talk show’s “drama” and insisted that her time on his campaign will be “drama-free.”

So… about that drama. Before the segment ended, Huntsman said one final goodbye to the show’s fans and her co-hosts. “People go nuts with rumors on this show, and this week has been no exception,” she said. “But I just want to be as clear as I possibly can. This has been a dream come true. This has been an incredible job. I do love everyone on this table.”

Speaking directly to rumors that their relationship has taken a turn for the worse, Huntsman brought up McCain, saying, “You’ve seen what she’s been through … It’s not easy to come out here and be so open and honest.”

“I have so much respect for everyone at this table and for everyone at this show,” she added. “With everything that has been written, I am leaving so thankful for all the new friends I have here. For all the friends I had before and will still have. Because this place has changed my life for the better.”
