For the past decade, the podcast How Did This Get Made? has celebrated the most upsetting movies in history and turned the act of wasting time with a bad movie into a worthwhile experience. Hosts Paul Scheer, June Diane Raphael, and Jason Mantzoukas dive into Hollywood’s dumpster so we don’t have to (although hearing their bewilderment over these movies actually makes us want to seek out some of these). HDTGM fans, from Team Sanity to Street Fighters and all the pasta robots in between, have one movie to thank for this podcast’s existence: the 2009 WTF comedy Old Dogs. Scheer has said in interviews that it was after seeing Old Dogs in the theater that they decided this podcast had to exist. The “this” in the title of How Did This Get Made? refers to Old Dogs.

And guess what? Old Dogs is now streaming on Disney+. You’re welcome.

HDTGM has tackled some truly puzzling pictures in its run, including any movie starring Hercules and whatever the hell Fateful Findings was, but Old Dogs is really the king. The film sounds harmless enough: John Travolta and Robin Williams star as two old bachelors who suddenly have to take care of twin tween terrors. Definitely not an original or even engaging premise, but fine for a forgettable PG movie.

You will not be able to forget Old Dogs, no matter how hard you try. The movie is next level bonkers and completely bananas—it’s banonkers. Here’s a partial list of what you’re in for, should you decide to stream Old Dogs on Disney+

  • professional sports marketing
  • “magic pills”
  • Robin Williams in brownface
  • pre-crime Lori Loughlin
  • Bernie Mac in his final film role
  • motion control puppet suits
  • Seth Green getting cradled by a gorilla
  • John Travolta’s rictus grin
  • John Travolta’s rictus grin ruining a dog grief support group
  • a jetpack

You’ve been warned.

If you want to pair Old Dogs with another trainwreck, you can also binge fellow HDTGM movies Kazaam and The Country Bears on Disney+. And mark your calendars, because controversial HDTGM movie The Odd Life of Timothy Green arrives on April 1.
