Sigh, we made it people. We made it through another crazy week during this crazy time in the world. Between all the insanity, paranoia and general noise that constantly buzzes around us during the week, don’t we all deserve to take a break? There is nothing wrong with checking out of civilization for 48 hours so you can deal with the world for the rest of it! And this writer here at Decider not only supports you in that decision but will also be happily joining you on your TLC weekend. As luck would have it, it looks like we are not alone: because whether you prefer to use Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, or HBO, our favorite streaming services are putting out a top-notch variety of movies and shows to help us escape all weekend long.
Netflix has really come through for us this weekend! This batch of new releases includes a new season of the mouth-watering food series Ugly Delicious, the French drama film I am Jonas, and part two of Paradise PD. And if you are in the mood for a great buddy comedy/mystery/thriller flick, look no further than Mark Wahlberg’s Spenser Confidential. Wahlberg stars as Detective Spenser, an ex-cop and former convict who reenters his crime-stopping life one last time to avenge the deaths of his former coworkers. Not only is this film a thrilling, action-packed and hysterical watch, it also marks Post Malone’s acting debut!
While Netflix is putting out some winners, many other streaming services are throwing down the gauntlet. After a stirring debut at the Sundance Festival, the Hillary Clinton docu-series Hillary is now available on Hulu. What initially was going to be a series about her 2016 Presidential run turned into an in-depth exploration behind the woman who has been in the public eye for decades — for both good reasons and bad. If you are a friend, or foe, or don’t even care about politics, Hillary is still a necessary binge-watch this weekend. As if these options aren’t enthralling enough, Prime Video is also releasing its new series, ZeroZeroZero. This thriller follows a family whose business as international cocaine brokers leaves their lives full of intensity, danger, vice and more. We stan a good crime drama!

Spenser Confidential
The Boston boy is back in his element in Spenser Confidential. Starring Mark Wahlberg, this mystery-thriller film centers on the fictional private detective Spenser, who is best known from his series of novels by Robert B. Parker and his ’80s TV show, Spenser: For Hire. It picks up with Spenser, now an ex-cop, leaving prison and his life in Boston behind for good. But when two of his former partners turn up dead, this lawless rogue begrudgingly partners up with an MMA fighter to investigate one last time and bring the criminals to justice. Also starring Alan Arkin, Winston Duke, Iliza Shlesinger and Post Malone (I know!), Spenser Confidential is the movie this weekend that this writer is the most excited to see.

Everybody knows Hillary Clinton. Her name is known nation-wide and we were there to see her highest highs and lowest lows. But what about her side of the story? Find out in Hillary, the four-part docuseries about Hillary Clinton’s life as a woman, a politician, a wife and a presidential candidate. From her humble beginnings in Chicago to her defeat in the 2016 election, Nanette Burstein’s series grants the world unprecedented access into the life and history of one of the most controversial — and amazing — figures in our country. Whether or not you were “With Her,” Hillary is a must-watch.
ZeroZeroZero: Season 1
ZeroZeroZero is a new original thriller series available now on Prime Video. Starring Gabriel Byrne (In Treatment), this crime drama show centers on the Lynwoods, a family that controls an international shipping company which acts as a cocaine broker between the Mexican and Italian mafias. The smooth transfer of the valuable “product” is paramount to staving off a war between the intense organizations, so you can be sure that any small slip up will result in high-stakes drama perfect for your screen!
