If you’re part of the general human body, then you’re probably either working from home, living at home, or in self-quarantine. But why should the pandamonium get you down? If just for a little while this weekend, take some time to escape from the world and dive into the movies and shows that can serve as your mental salvation. That’s what they are there for after all! And whether you prefer to use Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, or HBO, our favorite streaming services are putting out a wide variety of titles that will surely do the trick.
It looks like Netflix is really into the nail-biting series this week, because not one, but two murder mystery series are coming out this weekend! First up is the return of the popular Spanish-language drama series, Elite and it looks like in Season 3, we are going to have yet another murder on our hands. But since the victim is none other than the Season 1 killer, Polo, we don’t know which character has blood on his or her hands this time. If you are in the mood for a more bone-chilling, disturbing murder mystery, then check out The Valhalla Murders, the new series about Iceland’s first-ever serial killer and the detectives who are tasked with finding him. Netflix is also releasing a bunch of more cheerful and family-friendly titles like the Australian racing flick Go Karts, anime series BEASTARS and more.
Netflix isn’t the only service having all the fun this weekend! On Hulu, get your reality TV on with complete Seasons 2 and 17 of Love Island: Australia and Keeping Up With the Kardashians, respectively. This weekend is especially great for HBO because not only is their Saturday movie Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, but they are also launching the premiere of Westworld: Season 3!

Elite: Season 3
The Spanish-language original series Elite is back for a third season this Friday, and if possible, things are about to get even more dramatic. For those new to Elite, this Gossip-Girl-slash-murder mystery series centers on a group of students at Las Encinas, the most exclusive private school in Spain. This season, things are definitely going to take a turn as Polo (Álvaro Rico Ladera), the man behind Marina’s tragic death in Season 1, is back at school. Now that his peers know he is the killer, we expect some pursuits of revenge, embattled internal compasses, and, as the trailer shows, yet another murder. But who is behind it this time? The Valhalla Murders
The Valhalla Murders is the new foreign-language series that will chill your spine this weekend for multiple reasons. Set in blistering Iceland, the show follows the life of a police officer who returns home after a string of horrifying murders forces him back to investigate the country’s first-ever serial killer. As Arnar and his partner begin to dig into the cases, they are shocked to uncover connections to a series of crimes that happened 35 years prior. You can’t claim something is a myth when the evidence is in your backyard! Watch it all come apart in The Valhalla Murders.

Westworld: Season 3 Premiere
Toto, I don’t think we’re in a theme park anymore! After over a year of rapt anticipation, Westworld is back for its third season, and this time we are leaving behind the Wild Wild West. Since the end of last season left most of the Hosts either dead or in the “Valley Beyond,” we are excited to follow the Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) as she faces new adventures and fights new enemies in the post-apocalyptic, dystopian future. We could keep ranting about this new season (Aaron Paul!!), but we will exhibit some self-restraint so you can enjoy the premiere this Sunday.
