If you’re looking for a breezy, emotionally-resplendent binge watch, I highly recommend Mae Martin’s beautiful new Netflix dramedy Feel Good. Premiering today, Martin’s semi-autographical series follows a Canadian comedian living in London (Martin) who attempts to balance a new romantic relationship and her struggles with sobriety.

The bracingly honest series, which also stars Charlotte Ritchie and Lisa Kudrow and can be enjoyed in about two-and-a-half hours, is an absorbing look at addiction, comedy, and modern romance. If you already watched Season 1, you may be asking yourself “Will there be a Feel Good Season 2?”

Great question. Here’s everything we know so far.

WHO’S IN THE CAST OF NETFLIX’S FEEL GOOD?

Feel Good stars Mae Martin and Charlotte Ritchie as Mae and George, respectively. The series also features Lisa Kudrow (Friends, The Comeback) and Adrian Lukis (Judy) as Mae’s parents, and an ensemble cast that includes Sophie Thompson (Four Weddings and a Funeral, Emma), Ritu Arya (The Umbrella Academy), and Barry Ward (Jimmy’s Hall, The End of the F***ing World).

HAS FEEL GOOD BEEN RENEWED FOR SEASON 2?

Nope, which is completely normal. The series just premiered on Netflix yesterday!

WILL THERE BE A SEASON 2 OF FEEL GOOD?

*** UPDATE (12/7/20): Yes! Netflix just renewed Feel Good for a second (and sadly final) season. The season is scheduled to premiere in 2021. ***

Not only has Feel Good received a slew of positive reviews, but the Season 1 finale perfectly sets the table for a second season. Usually we can glean some additional information about the show’s popularity from Google Trends, but “feel good” is such a broad term that it’s difficult to get an accurate read on how many people are searching for additional information about the show.

Due to the critical acclaim and the fact that Feel Good is co-produced with Channel 4 in the UK, we’d say there’s a good chance that the show will be back for Season 2.

WHEN WILL FEEL GOOD SEASON 2 BE ON NETFLIX?

Assuming Netflix renews Feel Good for a second season, we’d expect to see new episodes in early 2021.

The only issue with this estimation is the uncertainty of the production schedule due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. If TV shows are still experiencing shutdowns in the summer of 2020, the timeline for Season 2 would obviously be delayed.
