A host of new shows (The Mandalorian!), legendary animated favorites (The Simpsons!), and blockbuster films (Captain Marvel!) are heading to the United Kingdom and a plethora of major European markets thanks to the hotly-anticipated launch of Disney+!
A one-stop destination for all things Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and NatGeo, Disney+ is scheduled to go live in a variety of places — including Ireland, Spain, Germany, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland — in less than 24 hours. The expansion comes with a few hiccups, however, as it’s being reported that the video quality and overall bandwidth utilization will be reduced by at least 25 percent to lighten the load on streaming in response to the abundance of people forced to work remotely due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Also, the service’s previously scheduled March 24 release date in France is being delayed by two weeks at the request of the French government.

WHEN IS THE DISNEY PLUS UK RELEASE DATE?
Disney+ is scheduled to launch in the UK as well as a variety of European markets on Tuesday, March 24.
WHAT TIME WILL DISNEY PLUS LAUNCH IN THE UK?
There are differing reports on the official Disney+ launch time. Various outlets are reporting a 12:00 a.m. launch (presumably GMT), but Disney has yet to announce an official release time. Decider reached out to Disney for clarification and were told that Disney+ will launch “tomorrow morning,” but the company wouldn’t divulge an exact time.
During the U.S. launch, Disney+ was officially supposed to be released at 6:00 a.m. ET, but it actually went live several hours earlier. There were also a variety of delays and connectivity issues during the first few hours of the United States launch, so it’s entirely possible that Disney+ could experience some launch day technical issues that would disrupt service.
HOW MUCH IS DISNEY PLUS IN THE UK?
If you sign up before 11:59 p.m. tonight, you can order a year of Disney+ for just £49.99. After the clock strikes 12:00 a.m., Disney Plus will be available for £5.99/month or £59.99/year.
