Can’t get enough Money Heist? We don’t blame you. When it comes to one of Netflix’s most successful international shows, we have good and bad news. The good news is Season 5 is happening. The bad? This upcoming installment will be the series’ last. So when will Money Heist Part 5 premiere?
Since its launch in 2017 La Casa de Papel, better known as Money Heist in the States, has become a global sensation. And how could it not? With compelling characters, great set pieces, and some of the most intricate heist plots you’ve ever seen it’s a ton of fun. Here’s when you can expect more episodes.
Will There Be a Money Heist Part 5? Will There Be a Money Heist Season 3?
Before we really dive in, let’s clear one thing up. Though Netflix has released four installments of Money Heist, the series has only finished its second season. Each season to date has been divided into two different chunks that are released at different times. Because of this the next batch of Money Heist episodes we can expect will be Season 3, Part 5.
Now that’s out of the way, can you expect more episodes? That’s a big yes. In July of 2020 Netflix announced that it had renewed Money Heist for one final season, which will be Part 5.
When Will Money Heist Part 5 Premiere? When Will Money Heist Season 3 Premiere?
We probably won’t be seeing new episodes for a while. The best way to gauge Money Heist’s production time is to examine its Netflix-produced second season. After renewing the series in April of 2018, Part 3 was released in July of 2019. It was followed by Part 4 in April of 2020.
Then there’s the COVID of it all to worry about. On March 15, 2020, Netflix paused production of the drama due to the pandemic. There were reports that the series resumed filming later in the year. Based on this timeline and assuming that Netflix has been working quickly during these trying times, we can likely expect new episodes by the end of 2021.

What Could Happen in New Episodes of Money Heist?
Based on Part 4’s ending we know that the Money Heist team is ready for more episodes. Spoilers ahead for Money Heist Part 4’s ending.
After a lot of planning and one tragic death, the team finally managed to get Lisbon (Itziar Ituño) back. But that rescue came at a high cost. The only way the team can move forward is by exposing the government for every injustice they’ve inflicted. Bottom line, this is war. Part 4’s final moments also saw an unexpected victim. After breaking with the police force, Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) tracked down The Professor (Álvaro Morte). For once it’s The Professor whose life is in danger. The only question is who’s going to save him?
