What is Quibi?

Good question! Quibi is a new streaming service that’s different from the rest in two important ways: all of the content is meant to be viewed on your phone/mobile device, and nothing on Quibi lasts longer than 10 minutes. And since episodes are meant to be watched on your phone, you’ll also be able to toggle between watching content either horizontally or vertically, depending on how you hold your device.

New episodes of various shows will be added every day. Subscribers can expect to see up to 3 hours of new content added daily.

How much does Quibi cost?

If you sign up right now at Quibi.com—seriously right now, before April 6—you will be given access to a 90-day free trial when Quibi launches. After that, and presumably if you don’t get the 90-day free trial, Quibi will cost $4.99/month with ads, and $7.99/month without ads.

Who founded Quibi?

Former Disney chairman Jeffrey Katzenberg, whose tenure included the streak from The Little Mermaid to The Lion King, founded Quibi. Katzenberg is also known as a co-founder of DreamWorks, where he oversaw the creation of the Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon franchises.

What does Quibi stand for?
