You can catch Brad Pitt in his reality TV debut on HGTV tonight. The Oscar-winning actor is kicking off the new series from Property Brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott, Celebrity IOU, and it looks like quite the tear-jerker. The HGTV show follows different celebrities as they pay back those in their life who have helped them along the way in the form of brand new house renovations. On tonight’s episode, Pitt surprises his longtime makeup artist, Jean Ann Black, with a renovation on her garage to turn it into a guest room.
“The very first day, Brad met every single person and had a moment with every single person,” Jonathan told Yahoo Entertainment. “He remembered every single person’s name on the crew, the construction crew, the production crew … he was a true gentleman through and through.”
Along with help from Drew and Jonathan, Pitt surprises Black with a renovation that brings her to tears. And she’s not the only one. In upcoming episodes included in a teaser for the series, stars like Michael Bublé, Rebel Wilson, Jeremy Renner, Viola Davis and Melissa McCarthy all help renovate the homes of people who have made a difference or helped them throughout their careers and lives. HGTV has not revealed if Zooey Deschanel, who is dating Jonathan, will be a guest on the show.
“It’s really easy to give back to people who have done nothing but give,” McCarthy explains in the show’s trailer. And by the looks of it, every person is overwhelmed and overjoyed by their renovations. The Property Brothers teased the show on Instagram, telling fans, “Get ready to feel all the feels! This one is going to be good.”
The premiere of Celebrity IOU airs tonight on HGTV — the same channel where you can watch The Property Brothers — at 9/8c.
