Horny ‘Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart’ Contestant Gets Rejected Twice in the Series Premiere

There are bad first impressions, and then there’s whatever The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart contestant Michael Todd did on Monday night. In the series premiere, uber-horny Michael Todd was rejected not once, but twice when he attempted to go in for a kiss with two different women. The 31-year-old musician didn’t even make it an hour before getting shut down, which — even in the world of The Bachelor — has to be some kind of record.

During ABC’s Listen to Your Heart premiere on Monday night, Michael Todd came out of the gate swinging with a rendition of his original song “Hot Touch.” The group didn’t love it — “This guy’s weird,” said one of the women — but the Spotify star would not be deterred. A few minutes later, Michael Todd tried to impress Savannah with some beat boxing, a move that, as you can imagine, failed miserably.

“I like,” she said, with absolutely zero sincerity in her voice. “I like your lips,” replied Michael Todd. He leaned in for a kiss, and Savannah awkwardly tried to defuse the situation. “It’s night one, and I’ve already had to dodge a kiss,” she said after the fact. “It’s not even night one — we’re in hour one.”

But Michael Todd would not be deterred. He later tried again with a different contestant, Bri, to equally disastrous results. “If you want to go in the hot tub, I’ll hit the hot tub,” he said. Cue the tense pause. “Um, I kind of have to use the restroom,” said Bri. “So, I’m going to find that because I don’t know where it is.”

Lonely Boy Michael Todd didn’t find a partner by the end of the night, so when it came time for the first rose ceremony, he was eliminated. Despite the potential for extreme awkwardness that he brought to the show, viewers didn’t seem to care much about his departure. As more than one fan tweeted, “Michael Todd is the worst.” Correct.
