‘White Lines’ Trailer: Netflix Teases a New Thriller from ‘Money Heist’ Creator Alex Pina

Money Heist creator Alex Pina is back with another Netflix thriller. On Wednesday morning, the streaming giant dropped the official trailer for White Lines, an action-packed drama about a 20-year-old murder case. The White Lines Netflix trailer suggests that Money Heist fans will be immediately sucked into the new series, which combines Pina’s trademark thrills with a glamorous Ibiza setting. What more could you want in a Netflix binge-watch?

White Lines on Netflix stars Laura Haddock (Transformers: The Last Night) and Juan Diego Botto (Good Behavior), Marta Milans, and more stars in a twisty, drug-fueled thriller. 20 years after a legendary Manchester DJ mysteriously disappears, his body washes up on the shores of Spanish island Ibiza. His sister Zoe (Haddock) travels to Ibiza to investigate what happened, but she’s soon drawn into a sinister web of dance clubs, lies, and cover-ups that prompts her to question her own character.

The White Lines trailer makes it clear that as far as Zoe is concerned, everyone is a suspect. “Axle’s best friends, they all seem pretty suspicious,” says Haddock’s voiceover. It doesn’t help that said friends seem pretty hesitant to assist Zoe in her quest for the truth. “We went through this 20 years ago! I’m not doing it again!” yells one of them. He later tells Zoe that “everyone here had a reason to hate Axle,” which doesn’t exactly bode well for his alibi.

When Zoe takes matters to the police, she unknowingly creates problems for the group, as well as herself. “When you find out the truth, it just leaves you cold,” she teases, as clips flash of massive pool parties, drug explosions, car chases, and one very angry government leader (Botto). But even amid all this chaos, the White Lines protagonist refuses to be deterred. “I’m not leaving until I get what I came here for,” says Haddock. “The truth.”

White Lines premieres May 15 on Netflix. Watch the official White Lines trailer above.
