‘Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian’ Trailer Has Exactly What You Need: New Baby Yoda Footage

More Star Wars is blasting its way into your life, way sooner than you thought! Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, Disney+’s 8-part docuseries about the making of the smash hit TV series, is coming to the streaming service on May 4th. The behind-the-scenes series promises to unveil plenty of hidden tales and unseen footage from the onscreen exploits of everyone’s new favorite bounty hunter, and now we have a taste of what we’re in for.

Disney+ dropped a trailer for Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, and wow oh wow does it look great. The trailer is peppered with the roundtable discussions that will make up the meat of the new show, with conversations between the directors and cast giving new insight into The Mandalorian. Of particular note, we get to hear director Deborah Chow talk about directing a scene between Werner Herzog and Baby Yoda, wherein Herzog just… talked directly to Baby Yoda between scenes as if there wasn’t a fleet of puppeteers just offstage. It’s fantastic.

This series is exactly what diehard Star Wars fans and even casual Mandalorian viewers have been clamoring for since the series debuted last winter. We’ve devoured all the featurettes that have popped up on YouTube, but now we’re getting what we’ve wanted: a TV season filled with all the making-of magic we crave!

Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian debuts on Disney+ on May 4. New episodes arrive every Friday, beginning on May 8.
