When Will ‘Kaos’ Be Released on Netflix?

If you’re looking for a new show to scratch your need for more Percy Jackson-like antics, you may be in luck. Recently Netflix users have noticed a new show page for something called Kaos. But what exactly is Kaos on Netflix? And what is the Kaos‘ release date in 2020?

Greek mythology has long been a great source for stories about backstabbing, revenge, adultery, and war. You truly can’t find a band of non-people pettier than this crop of gods. Though there have been several great movies about these extra-on-every-level forces, there haven’t been many shows. This year it looks like that is changing. Here’s everything we know about Netflix’s modern take on ancient mythology.

What Is Kaos?

Get ready for a brand new take on Greek mythology. From Charlie Covell, best known for her stellar adaptation of The End of the F***ing World, comes this darkly comedic take on gods and goddesses. The 10-episode series will be a contemporary reimagining of this mythology as it explores “gender politics, power, and life in the underworld.”

The new show was given a straight-to-series order on June of 2018. All3Media and Brightstar are set to produce the show alongside Netflix. Additionally Nina Lederman, Tanya Seghatchian, and John Woodward will serve as the series’ executive producers.

Very little is known about what Kaos will be about. At the moment the series has yet to announce its cast, characters, or anything beyond the vaguest of descriptions. There’s a fake trailer that’s been released online, but since that’s fake… You know. It doesn’t tell us much.

But if there’s one thing we know it’s that Greek gods were messy and emotional — two states Covell thrives on. If she could make us fall in love with a guy who wanted to kill his girlfriend just for the fun of it, she can turn this into a good time

What Is The Kaos Netflix Release Date?

Another one of Kaos‘ many mysteries is when it will premiere. At the moment its show page says that the show is set to release in 2020. But Netflix has yet to announce an exact date, or even month. Fingers crossed “2020” means sooner rather than later.
