More From Decider

From ‘Drag Race’ to ‘We’re Here’: Which Drag Show Is Right for You?

If we’re looking for miracles in this dreary time, we can all be grateful that we’ve officially hit peak drag content at the precise moment that the world is locked away at home. There truly is nothing better to watch while you’re stuck inside than ultra glamorous, ultra hilarious, and ultra fearless drag queens doing their damn thing. And with the pop culture explosion of drag right now, there’s more campy and quirky queer content to stream than ever before.

Of course with there being so much to choose from, you may find yourself in a tizzy trying to decide what to watch next or where to even begin. That’s where this list comes into play! This is a guide to all—well, almost all, because there’s a lot—the drag content available to stream right here and right now. Whether you’re in the mood for something fun or feisty, real or really real, scripted or unscripted, there is something for you.

And always a reminder: the world of drag doesn’t stop at Netflix. Pretty much every queen, from local to international, has an Instagram or YouTube account that’s popping with content! There are even digital drag shows going on via Stageit and DragCon’s first-ever digital edition. So if you’re looking for even more content, give the queens a follow (and don’t be shy with tips—especially for your local queens!).

Watch RuPaul’s Drag Race

There’s truly no better show to turn to if you’re in the mood for drag. There’s a reason why Drag Race has lasted 12 seasons, won a case full of Emmys, launched dozens of careers and nearly as many spinoffs. This is the show to watch whether you’re in the mood for emotional confessions, sickening performances, LOL moments, and literally everything in between. The show does it all.

Watch RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars

Legendary queens from Drag Race return for another shot at a crown in Drag Race All Stars. Just seeing illustrious alumni pulled from the show’s herstory is entertaining enough, but the producers and the queens really pull stunts on this show resulting in a lot of upsets and head-scratching decisions. But still, you can’t say it’s not entertainting! And All Stars Season 2 may just be the greatest season in the franchise’s entire canon (and it’s streaming on Hulu).

Watch RuPaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race

This mini-series is currently airing on Friday nights on VH1 and… it certainly is something! The show pairs three celebrities with three fan favorite queens for a 90-minute crash course in all things drag. The newbies compete in a mini-challenge, a maxi-challenge, a runway, and a lip sync while their new drag mom cheers them on, resulting in moments both shaky and celebratory. It’s a wild ride if you tune in just to see queens you already love on TV (just don’t hold out to see the likes of Meryl Streep or Tom Hanks on this show).

Watch RuPaul’s Drag Race UK

Mama Ru and Michelle Visage traveled across the pond and brought the winning Drag Race formula to the UK in this all killer, no filler season. The culture clashes resulted in some shelarious moments and we got to see subtly different styles of drag showcased on the show for the first time (shout out to Crystal’s chest hair). But what separated Drag Race UK from the pack was just how nice everyone was. If the world has you stressed out, this is a relaxing binge.

Watch The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula

Drag Race isn’t the only drag competition show in the game. The scare-tastic Boulet Brothers launched their own, terrifyingly unique reality series in 2016 and they’ve upped their game (and audience) with every season. This series features sickening queens (literally, this show ain’t for the faint of heart) the likes of which you probably won’t see on VH1 any time soon.

Watch RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked

Back on the Drag Race beat, if you want total reality TV drama without all the competition show clutter, Untucked is your gig. The half hour companion show unfolds while the queens wait for the judges to deliberate, so you know tensions are always at a ten. Some of the most iconic moments in drag TV history unfold on Untucked, from “because I am what? Sickening!” to “I feel very attacked!” The batch on Hulu corresponds with Seasons 2-6 of Drag Race, while Seasons 7-9 are on WOW Presents Plus.

TLC got into the drag game with this fun and friendly makeover show. Watch We’re Here

Whereas Dragnificent!’s happy/sad tears balance is at a 75/25 split, We’re Here is way more 50/50. HBO’s spin on the cable makeover genre digs deep into the pain that’s ever present in the lives of queer people in small town America. And unlike Dragnificent!, which focuses on one person, the Drag Race alum on We’re Here (Bob the Drag Queen, Shangela, and Eureka) roll into town on a mission to put on a truly cathartic drag show with lots of locals.

Watch Trixie Mattel: Moving Parts

This unflinching music doc follows Trixie Mattel (from Drag Race 7, All Stars 3) on the most tumultuous year of her career, one including the release of her folk album, a UK tour, her run on All Stars, and the implosion of her cable show and partnership with Katya (spoiler alert: they’re fine now!). Trixie Mattel may be a vision in pink, but this doc shows there’s lots of gray in this rainbow.

WOW Presents Plus stepped into the docuseries game with the globetrotting series Werq the World. The show follows the international tour of the same name, a show featuring queens from across the Drag Race pantheon. Each episode focuses on one queen in particular, giving you a glimpse into what these superstars are like while they’re sleeping on tour buses and living off fast food in-between performances.

Watch The Queen

This 1968 documentary provides an unprecedented look into the pageant scene of the 1960s. But more than that, The Queen is an ultra rare look at what it was like to be a queer person in the 1960s. The Queen, when paired with the equally groundbreaking and essential Paris Is Burning (unfortunately no longer on Netflix!), provides vital context for every other entry on this list.

Watch AJ and the Queen

On the flip side, if you’re looking for a show that is the very definition of camp, you have to stream Netflix’s AJ and the Queen. The series stars RuPaul as Ruby Red, an iconic drag queen with plans to retire before her boyfriend runs off with all her dough. She embarks on a cross country club tour in order to make the money back, but she doesn’t count on one thing: a stowaway.

Watch UNHhhh

What is UNHhhh? What isn’t UNHhhh? The talk show stars Trixie Mattel and Katya, an odd couple of kooky queens from Drag Race Season 7 who found a whole lot of success by sitting in a void and gabbing on everything from online shopping and food to death and religion. These two have ridiculous chemistry, and the madcap editing turns this chemistry into a trip. And if you like what you see of UNHhhh, you have to watch Trixie and Katya’s YouTube/Netflix series I Like to Watch.
