Good Girls

Last night, fans bid farewell to the third season of NBC’s Good Girls. Premiering on February 16, 2020, Season 3 was originally slated for 16 episodes, but the coronavirus pandemic led to the series calling an audible and concluding after Episode 11 (“Synergy”).

What does the future hold for Beth (Christina Hendricks), Ruby (Retta), and Annie (Mae Whitman)? Without getting into spoiler territory, how will Phoebe’s (Lauren Lapkus) investigation impact the ladies? And most importantly: What the heck is going on with Beth and Manny Montana’s Rio?!

WHEN WILL GOOD GIRLS SEASON 3, EPISODE 12 PREMIERE?

Never! As we mentioned above, the third season was cut short due to the coronavirus pandemic. Season 3 concluded with Episode 11 (“Synergy”).

HAS GOOD GIRLS BEEN RENEWED FOR SEASON 4?

*** UPDATE: Yes! NBC officially renewed Good Girls for Season 4! ***

Nope. As of now, NBC has yet to officially renew the series for a fourth season.

WILL THERE BE A GOOD GIRLS SEASON 4 ON NBC?

We believe there’s a very good chance Good Girls will return for a fourth season. The series has earned critical acclaim (Season 3 has a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes), and while it’s not exactly a ratings juggernaut, Good Girls generates a substantial amount of interest on both Netflix and Google Trends.

Another indicator that the show will be back is the fact that series creator Jenna Bans has definitive plans for Season 4. Since the third season was originally scheduled for 16 episodes, we believe that NBC will give Good Girls the opportunity to continue telling its story.

Our best guess? Expect a fourth season.

WHEN WILL GOOD GIRLS SEASON 4 PREMIERE ON NBC?

*** Update (2/5/21): Good Girls Season 4 officially premieres Sunday, March 7 at 10:00 p.m. ET on NBC! ***

This is a tricky question. Let’s assume NBC renews the show for Season 4. The previous three seasons all debuted in February or March (February 26, 2018, March 3, 2019, and February 16, 2020), but the uncertainty caused by the coronavirus makes a premiere date nearly impossible to accurately predict.

Bans told Entertainment Weekly that Episodes 12 and 13 have “been shot, but not to completion.” If the show can get back to a relatively normal production schedule in the fall, Good Girls could still be on track for a March 2021 debut, but it’s more likely that new episodes will premiere later in 2021.
