What time will Friends be on HBO Max?

As Friends is part of the initial HBO Max lineup, you can expect to start streaming Friends again on HBO Max early on Wednesday morning. As with any launch of a new platform, it may take some time for various devices (laptops, phones, smart TVs, etc) to get up and running, but you should be able to start streaming by 6 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. ET at the very latest.

What about the Friends reunion on HBO Max?

The reunion was meant to hit HBO Max at launch was placed on hold back in March due to coronavirus. But don’t worry—HBO still plans to get the gang back together again for some reminiscing! The latest plan is to film sometime this summer, by the end of summer at the latest. And don’t expect this to be done via Zoom or something, either. HBO has said that they want to get the cast together in a physical space again, preferably one with a live studio audience. The cast was even giving away tickets!

Whether or not that will be possible due to social distancing, well, that remains to be seen. That’s why they hope to get it filmed in the next few months, but that could still change depending on where this pandemic is heading. But in the meantime, you’ll be able to stream all 10 seasons on HBO Max when it launches on May 27.
