How to Watch ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’ Season 5 Premiere Live

RuPaul’s Drag Race is back back back back back again! Wait—weren’t we just here? Didn’t we just crown a queen last week?! Truth, Drag Race Season 12 just wrapped up its miraculous run on VH1, but you can’t keep the queens down. It’s time for a season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars—and we are ready for it.

All Stars 5 is the highly-anticipated return of the franchise’s stunt-iest series, wherein fan favorite queens from past seasons return for another shot at a crown. And howsabout that All Stars 5 twist, huh? Are you ready to see the queens go up against some lip sync assassins? But—how do you watch RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 5 live? And can you watch Drag Race All Stars online for free? Wondering where to watch RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars? You’ve got questions and you know we’ve got answers!

What time does RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 5 come on?

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 5 premieres on VH1 on Friday, June 5 at 8 p.m. ET. That’s VH1, y’all, not Showtime. After announcing that the show would move from VH1 to the premium cable network, the move was canceled in part due to COVID-19. This way, the show will be seen by as many people as possible—which is truthfully what we all need right now.

A bit of a change-up, though: it looks like, according to VH1’s schedule, episodes of All Stars 5 will be two hours long as opposed to the usual 90 minutes. In the past, regular-season episodes of Drag Race have lasted 90 minutes and were paired with a 30 minute episode of Untucked. All Stars episodes, however, just lasted 90 minutes and did not come with Untucked. Does this mean that All Stars Season 5 will have its own Untucked, similar to a regular Drag Race season? Or will the episodes themselves be a full two hours long? We’ll find out soon enough!

UPDATE: The hunch was correct: For the first time since All Stars 1, the spinoff series is getting its own Untucked.
