After nearly 20 years of being in development, the Artemis Fowl movie is finally coming out on Disney+. While fans of the 2001 book by Eoin Colfer are already wary of this film adaptation—which makes a great many changes to the characters and plot—no doubt many families will be interested in streaming Artemis Fowl this weekend. The plot of this fantasy tale follows a 12-year-old boy named Artemis II, who must save his kidnapped father, a known criminal mastermind, with the help of some faeries by retrieving a magical MacGuffin known as “the Aculos.” Can he do it? I mean, yeah, probably. But you’ll still want to watch the movie to find out how.
