Jim Henson’s Dinosaurs say, “Defund the Police.” This week, Twitter user Evan Malmgren shared an old clip from the 1990s puppet show in which a trio of dinosaurs explains systemic racism and socioeconomic disparities. The Dinosaurs show clip quickly went viral, prompting many users to ask if Henson’s ABC sitcom is available to stream in full elsewhere. After all, the world needs more TriCera Cops.

WHAT WAS THE DINOSAURS TV SHOW?
Dinosaurs was an ABC sitcom that ran for four seasons from 1991 to 1994. The Jim Henson Television-produced series centered on the Sinclairs, a family of dinosaurs in 60,000,003 BC Pangaea. While the bulk of the show focuses on the family’s everyday life, Dinosaurs also included clips from their favorite shows, much like Insecure includes scenes from the fictional dramas its characters are watching.
One such clip, from a fake show titled TriCera Cops, shows two dinosaur police officers offering to “reeducate” someone after chasing him through the streets. “You’re just the product of an alienated economic class lashing out because you feel powerless and unloved,” says one dino-cop. “You’ve been disenfranchised by the bourgeois power structure,” says the other.
The clip of Dinosaurs‘ “marxist cop show” immediately went viral, and now, users are thirsting after the full thing. Is Dinosaurs available to stream?

While Dinosaurs was produced in association with Walt Disney Television and aired on ABC, it is not currently available to stream on Disney+. Drats!
