Brandon Flynn is Dangerously Attractive in ‘Looks That Kill’ Trailer

Brandon Flynn is literally drop dead gorgeous. The 13 Reasons Why actor plays Max Richards, a high school student with an unfortunately beautiful face, in the upcoming teen comedy Looks That Kill. The new trailer for the film, which gets a VOD release this week, reveals just how good looking Max is — his face is so attractive that it makes people die when they look at him.

Ever since Max was a baby, he’s stunned people with his features, killing the doctors in the delivery room when he’s first born. So, to keep the people around him safe, Max and his parents devise a cover-up that masks his beauty. He’s wrapped up in bandages and hidden under a hat and sunglasses at all times.

“Your parents tell me you were born with a unique condition,” a therapist tells Max, who is wrapped up sitting across from him on the couch. “I accidentally kill people,” he explains. “When people see me, they …” he trails off, and pretends to slump over, dead.

Max gets so desperately lonely from his condition that he ponders jumping off a bridge, but as he’s teetering on the edge above the water, he’s interrupted by a girl passing by (Julia Goldani Telles). “What are you doing?” she asks. “You should probably find a higher bridge.”

Max is stunned as she continues past him and walks away. Soon, they become close and Max opens up to her about his deadly good looks, gradually removing his cover-up and revealing parts of his face to her.

Flynn opened up about his character in an interview with People this month. “His persona, his physical persona is wrapped up and lethal actually,” he said. “So it’s a boy who’s really trying to find how to like let his soul and let his heart speak through his sort of disability, his sort of disadvantage in comparison to his peers and to his family members.”

Looks That Kill comes from director Kellan Moore. The film also stars Ki Hong Lee, Annie Mumolo and Lindsay Mushett.
