Floor Is Lava, a new game show competition on Netflix, already has plenty of fans after premiering today. Viewers who have already finished the first episode of the series may have noticed the tribute included at the end, which honors a man named Tim Sullivan, Monsters and Critics reports. Sullivan worked as a producer, and Floor Is Lava was one of his final credits.

Who Is Tim Sullivan?
Floor Is Lava dedicated their first episode to Sullivan, who worked as a producer with multiple entertainment companies. Sullivan died May 18 at the age of 42 after a battle with bile duct cancer, according to the Montclair Local News. His family had set up a GoFundMe account to support his cancer fight, and any money raised from it will now go toward helping his wife and son.
Sullivan earned an English degree from the University of Vermont, and later formed his own production company in association with Sony Pictures, called Gang of Wolves.
Did Tim Sullivan Work on Floor Is Lava?
Yes. Sullivan is listed in production credits as an executive producer on Floor Is Lava. Before his work on the Netflix reality show, he was associated with multiple series during his career and worked with both Disney and Magical Elves.
Sullivan worked as the assistant to executive producers on Bravo’s Project Runway, with 43 credits from the show across 2004-2006. He was also involved with Last Comic Standing and Top Chef, and helped create new shows for Zodiak, Core Media, Good Bye Productions and Fullscreen.
What Is Floor Is Lava?
Floor Is Lava is a new reality show on Netflix that uses the make-believe childhood game and turns it into a competition for cash prizes. Each episode, teams of three compete to make it across the course of an escape room without falling into the “lava” below them. If they drop, they’re immediately done for. All 10 episodes of Season 1 are currently streaming on Netflix.
