The cast of Pose is honoring this year’s Pride with a virtual event full of song, conversation and celebration of the LGBTQ community. FX released a first look at the special today, which shows the cast virtually performing “Love Yourself,” a single from Pose star Billy Porter.

The Pose-A-Thon will feature Dominique Jackson, Indya Moore, Angelica Ross, Patti LuPone, Janet Mock, Steven Canals, Sandra Bernhard, Dyllón Burnside, Angel Bismark Curiel, Jeremy McClain, Our Lady J, Jason Rodriguez, Hailie Sahar, Ryan Jamaal Swain and Charlayne Woodard, according to Deadline.

Porter and Rodriguez will emcee the event, which will be produced in partnership with GLSEN, Hetrick-Martin Institute, and Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund. Viewers will be encouraged to donate to any of the three organizations during the Pose-A-Thon, which will air commercial-free and will be an hour-long special.

“Since we’ve been unable to shoot the show we love, we jumped at the chance to reunite our Pose family and partner with the studio and network to raise spirits and awareness about the plight of LGBTQ+ people of color during such a turbulent time,” said Mock, who is an executive producer, writer and director on Pose. “This Pride month special is a commemoration of our forebears’ efforts, a memorial for trans lives lost, and a celebration of the life-saving work of LGBTQ+ organizations.”

Pose premiered on FX in 2018 and was renewed for a third season last year. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, production on Season 3 of Pose was put on hold in March. The show, which comes from American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy, follows underground ballroom culture in 1980s New York City.

The Pose-A-Thon will air on FX, Freedom, and Hulu June 26 at 10/9c. It will also be available to stream on poseathon.com. Watch the Pose cast’s “Love Yourself” performance in the video above.
