The boys are about to be back in town!

Earlier today, Amazon announced that Season 2 of their hit superhero satire The Boys will premiere Friday, September 4, 2020. The announcement was made during a virtual cast reunion hosted by Patton Oswalt. Unlike Season 1, the show’s sophomore offering won’t be available to stream in its entirety on launch day. The first three episodes of Season 2 will premiere on September 4, with new episodes dropping each Friday and the season finale airing on October 9.

“We cannot WAIT to show you season two,” Executive Producer Eric Kripke said in statement. “It’s crazier, stranger, more intense, more emotional.”

The new season finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. While the team attempts to adjust to their new normal, Butcher (Karl Urban) is nowhere to be found. Season 2 will also introduce the character of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social media-savvy new Supe who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.

You can watch the cast reunion, as well as the first three minutes of Season 2 (which is shown at the end of the video), below.
