Feel The Beat is Netflix‘s newest feel good film. The movie tells the story of a big city girl who has no choice but to come back home after her dance career in New York City is sidelined by an embarrassing video. She finds herself back in New Hope, Wisconsin, where she moves back in with her dad.
After a run-in with an old acquaintance while she’s out shopping, April (Sofia Carson) is convinced to stop by the local dance studio and say hello to the girls there. When she learns an upcoming dance competition will be judged by professionals from Broadway, she agrees to help them train for it, thinking it’s her ticket back into the world of dance.
April soon finds she loves working with the girls, and it doesn’t hurt that her ex-boyfriend is still back in the small town and willing to help her out with the dance troupe.

WHO IS IN THE FEEL THE BEAT CAST?
The Feel The Beat cast is packed with names, starting with Sofia Carson, who plays the lead, April. Broadway actress Donna Lynne Champlin plays April’s former dance teacher, and Tony Award-winner Marissa Jaret Winokur stars as herself in the film. Feel The Beat also features Enrico Colantoni, Rex Lee and Drew Davis.
WHO PLAYS SARAH IN FEEL THE BEAT?
When April takes on the responsibility of training the dance troupe, she meets plenty of young hopefuls. Among them is Sarah, who is the younger sister of Nick, April’s ex-boyfriend. Sarah is played by child actress Eva Hauge. Hauge started acting at age 12 and has starred on Disney’s Bizaardvark, as well as The Kids Are Alright on ABC.
WHO PLAYS APRIL IN FEEL THE BEAT?
Sofia Carson stars in Feel The Beat as April, a 20-something dancer who has come a long way from her small town roots. Before taking on the Feel The Beat role, Carson appeared in Disney’s Descendants. She’s also acted in Austin & Ally, Faking It, and Famous In Love. Carson, who is 27, grew up in Florida and graduated from Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart in Miami, according to her IMDb page.
WHO PLAYS NICK IN FEEL THE BEAT?
Nick, April’s love interest and ex-boyfriend, is played by Wolfgang Novogratz. Netflix fans will recognize Novogratz, who has also starred in Sierra Burgess Is A Loser, where he played Drew, and The Half of It, where he played Trig, as well as The Last Summer.
