What happened on Canada’s Drag Race Episode 1 ?

The contestants on stomped into the Werk Room, clocked their competition, met the judges, and leapt into the first mini-challenge. The queens faced a high(ish)-altitude photo shoot while getting blown by a major fan. Most of the queens kept their composure, or they just screamed nonstop like Jimbo. YouTube makeup influencer Kyne won the first mini-challenge and was given a big responsibility for the maxi-challenge.

Kyne assigned all 12 queens a mystery box of items themed around something uniquely Canadian. Then, using only the contents of their box, each queen had to turn out a sickening runway look that screamed “Oh, Canada!” BOA delighted the judges with her potato drag, Jimbo stunned in a rainbow zipper gown, and Rita Baga won with her Québec-Froid couture. Kyne’s disco gold look failed to influence the judges, and Lemon and Juice Boxx ended up in the bottom. Backstage, Kyne clashed with the queens due to her bad attitude and incredulousness re: BOA’s success. Juice Boxx ultimately sashayed away after a short but eventful stay on the show.
