Mike Tyson is preparing for the fight of his life. Next month, Mike Tyson will go toe to toe with a shark for Discovery’s Shark Week 2020, because apparently he has nothing better to do. We may not have live sports quite yet, but at least we have the Tyson vs Jaws: Rumble on the Reef special!

WHAT’S WITH THE TYSON VS JAWS SPECIAL?
To kick off Shark Week 2020, Mike Tyson will be getting into the cage with a live shark “in the name of research,” Discovery says. Tyson and the shark will go head to head as famed ring announce Michael Buffer calls the matchup, hopefully from a safe distance away.
In a statement, Tyson reveals that he had a “fear of getting back into the ring at 54 years old,” but the Tyson v Jaws: Rumble on the Reef matchup helped him to overcome that aversion. “I learned from this experience doing Shark Week that whatever intimidates me, I am still able to step up to the challenge of overcoming anything,” he says.

Tyson vs Jaws will air Sunday, August 9 at 9/8c on Discovery Channel.
