Amazon’s Absentia Season 3 premiered on Friday, July 17 and fans are already wondering if we’re going to get an Absentia Season 4. Absentia Season 3 ended in a way that neatly wrapped up the series, but could also potentially signal a new start for its leading lady, Emily Byrne (Stana Katic). So what are the chances that Amazon will order Absentia Season 4 and when could we expect Absentia Season 4 to premiere on Prime Video?
Absentia stars Stana Katic as former FBI agent Emily Byrne. In the first season, Emily must grapple with the fact that she was declared legally dead after disappearing during a hunt for a terrible serial killer. When she is discovered six years later in a cabin, she has no memory of what happened to her. She also has no clue how much corruption surrounds her. In the ensuing seasons, she and her family find themselves in increasing amounts of danger. Patrick Heusinger costars as Emily’s estranged husband, Nick Durand, and Matthew Le Nevez is Emily’s Season 3 love interest, Special Agent Cal Isaac.

WILL THERE BE AN ABSENTIA SEASON 4?
It’s still way too early to say whether or not Amazon will order a fourth season of Absentia. The tech giant ordered a third season of Absentia after its original broadcaster, AXN, killed it after two seasons. So there’s evidence to suggest that Amazon thinks the Stana Katic show has a strong enough fan base.
However, the Absentia Season 3 finale kind of ends in a neat, tied-up place. After exposing the corruption of Special Agent Julianne Gunnarsen (Natasha Little), Emily goes off the grid. She fakes her ex-husband and son’s death and hides them from authorities. The only person she tips off about her new life? Cal Isaac. In the last few minutes of Absentia Season 3, he arrives at the coffee shop where a now blonde wig-wearing Emily is working. He was tipped off by a postcard Emily sent him and it seems the two are going to rekindle their romance.
So Absentia is over? Not so fast. Cal also hints that the two might work together again in the last scene of Absentia Season 3, Emily takes off her blonde wig.
WHEN WILL ABSENTIA SEASON 4 PREMIERE ON AMAZON PRIME VIDEO?
If Amazon renews Absentia for a fourth season, it will probably premiere on Prime Video summer 2021. The show typically takes about a year to produce a season, meaning Absentia Season 4 would be on Amazon by August 2021. (Barring any production hiccups.)
