What Time Will ‘Work It’ Be on Netflix?

Work It is a new teen movie about a dance competition coming to Netflix this weekend, because Netflix is nothing if not on brand. Produced by musician Alicia Keys, and directed by Laura Terruso, this coming-of-age comedy follows a high school senior named Quinn (played by Sabrina Carpenter) who is determined to get into the college of her dreams, even if it means she has to form a rag-tag dance troupe and win a dance competition to do so. Why would admission to the college of her dreams depend on such a specific goal? Shh, it’s a teen movie, don’t ask too many questions.

In exciting news for fans of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, singer/dancer/actor Jordan Fisher, aka John Ambrose McClaren, also stars in Work It, as the hot guy who teaches Quinn how to dance “with her body.” Vine and YouTube star Liza Koshy is also featured, along with comedian Michelle Buteau and The Flash star Keiynan Lonsdale. Truly no one was more prepared than Netflix for the COVID-19 pandemic. I mean, is that a perfect cast for a teen movie, or what?
