‘Animaniacs’ and ‘I AM GRETA’ Get Hulu Premiere Dates

Right now is a very good time to be a Hulu subscriber. At the Television Critics Association’s 2020 summer tour the streaming service announced the premiere dates for some of its biggest upcoming projects including its Animaniacs reboot and its documentary on activist Greta Thunberg, I AM GRETA.

The most exciting of these many premiere dates is arguably the one for Animaniacs. Twenty-two years after its final episode the beloved cult cartoon will return to Hulu on Friday, November 20. Just like before this new installment will follow the Warner siblings Yakko, Wakko, and Dot as they wreak havoc all across the world. Those two rodents too crazy for their own good — Pinky and The Brain — are also set to return. Steven Spielberg will executive produce the 13-episode reboot. Also you won’t have to wait long for new episodes once the series premieres this fall. Another 13-episode season has already been announced and is planned to premiere in 2021.

November will also see the premiere of Hulu’s anticipated documentary I AM GRETA. Directed by Nathan Grossman, the film will follow activist Greta Thunberg, chronicling how this quiet teenager on the autism spectrum became one of the most prominent voices of her generation. The documentary is come to Hulu Friday, November 13.

Additionally the streaming giant announced the premiere dates for two of its other upcoming originals. No Man’s Land is a scripted drama that will dive into the Syrian Civil War. The eight-episode series will follow the story of Antoine, a young French man searching for his sister whom everyone assumes is dead. Along the way he will join forces with a unit of Kurdish female fighters. Also premiering this fall is the eight-episode Monsterland. Based on Nathan Ballingrud’s collection of stories, North American Lake Monsters, the anthology series will center on different people as they come in contact with bizarre, life-changing creatures. You better believe that mermaids and fallen angels will be making an appearance. Monsterland is set to premiere on Friday, October 2, and No Man’s Land will premiere the following month starting on Wednesday, November 18.
