What happened on Canada’s Drag Race Episode 7 ?

You know it’s a big week on Drag Race when they skip the mini-challenge and go right on to the main! That’s what they did in Episode 7, starting right off with the dolls preparing for the first-ever pageant in Drag Race herstory—and okay, that’s a technicality. Yes, they did a pageant for the Season 9 premiere, but this challenge—a full-blown improv challenge—is just different enough to be its own thing entirely. So, yeah, first ever!

Each queen was assigned a type of small town pageant queen to embody.

Jimbo got hot and bothered as Miss Behavin’, Lemon showed her physical comedy as the perfect princess Miss Fitts, Priyanka went sour as Miss Demeanor, Scarlett BoBo played the bongos as Miss Informed, Rita Baga smiled her way through as Miss Match’d, and Ilona Verley was miserable as Miss Erable.

On the runway, the queens served Pageant Perfection. The judges lived for Rita’s exquisite gown, but clocked her dry hair. They gagged over Scarlett’s old Hollywood glamour and Priyanka’s eleganza. A dreamy pastel look wasn’t enough to make up for Ilona’s pageant performance. The judges were not living for Jimbo’s vintage hoop skirt realness, even though she was literally crying diamonds. Backstage, Jimbo let those critiques set her off, and she lashed out at Rita’s wig. It’s a wonder those hot takes didn’t set that dry wig on fire!

The winner of the week was Lemon, who slayed the challenge and served toddler realness with the most unique twist on the runway category.

Jimbo escaped the bottom two (most likely because she was hilarical in the main challenge), which left Priyanka and Ilona to lip sync for their lives. Priyanka once again gave the levels, comedy, and emotion that makes for a perfect lip sync—and Ilona was told to sashay away.
