We find ourselves in a bit of a good news/bad news situation, Cobra Kai fans. The good news? We finally have some information about the Cobra Kai Season 3 release date. The bad news? The third season won’t debut on Netflix until 2021.

This Friday, the first two seasons of Cobra Kai premiere on Netflix. To celebrate the show’s arrival, Netflix just released a truly sensational Cobra Kai trailer that not only features the iconic Karate Kid anthem “You’re the Best Around,” but it also provides us with our first look at Season 3.

At the conclusion of the trailer (which you can watch above), we hear Daniel LaRusso say “Mr. Miyagi treated me like a son. He wouldn’t keep any secrets from me.” LaRusso is then taken down by an unknown character who asks “are you sure about that?”

Who exactly is this mystery man? If you pause the trailer, it looks like we’re about to see the return of Karate Kid 2 icon Chozen (Yuji Okumoto).

The return of Chozen makes perfect sense. The character memorably debuted in Karate Kid 2 and it’s already been reported that Daniel returns to Okinawa (the setting for KK2) during the third season of Cobra Kai. Also, the end of the trailer features a familiar drumming sound that echoes the den-den daiko drums from Karate Kid 2.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Cobra Kai premiere Friday, August 28 on Netflix.
