Dorinda Medley is Leaving ‘RHONY’ After Six Seasons

Longtime star Dorinda Medley is leaving The Real Housewives of New York City after six seasons on the Bravo staple. Dorinda released a statement announcing her RHONY departure on Tuesday morning, writing, “All things must come to an end … Thank you to Bravo and NBC for the incredible ride.”

“What a journey this has been. I have laughed and cried and tried to Make it Nice,” Dorinda wrote on her official Facebook page this morning. “This was a great outlet for me to heal when my late husband Richard passed away.”

“I have met so many interesting people and learned so much about myself, about life and about women along the way,” she added. Despite their constant feuding and drama, Dorinda wished all of her castmates “health, happiness, and success” in the years to come.

Dorinda first appeared in RHONY Season 4 as a guest before joining the cast full time ahead of Season 7. With her brutal honesty and hilarious one-liners, Dorinda quickly became a fan favorite. She remained with the Bravo reality show through Season 12, which is slated to wrap next week on Thursday, September 3. Dorinda’s final  RHONY Season 12 appearance will come the following week during the Bravo reunion, which will rehash this season’s biggest moments and storylines.

Dorinda didn’t reveal what’s next for her, but the last few seasons of RHONY may provide some clues. In 2019, the Bravolebrity launched her own fitness class, Dorobics, which quickly became a hit among aerobics fanatics. She also recently purchased a palatial estate in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, her hometown, so it’s likely that she has plenty of decorating (and re-decorating) in her future.

Will Dorinda be leaving New York City for good, or is her Massachusetts mansion just a getaway home? Only time will tell, but for the love of all things Bravo, let’s hope she makes a few appearances in the years to come.
