Cobra Kai is coming to Netflix at last. After originally debuting on YouTube Red, the The Karate Kid sequel is officially a Netflix original. That means that the first two seasons of Cobra Kai will be streaming on Netflix this Friday, August 28. Cobra Kai Season 3 will premiere on Netflix at a later date and time. It’s all very good news. However there’s also some bad news in the mix. The Karate Kid movies will all be leaving Netflix next week. That only gives viewers a few days to binge the full Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio)/Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) saga.

Set 34 years after the original Karate Kid film, Cobra Kai reveals that one-time bully Johnny Lawrence is now a down-on-his-luck alcoholic. Still bruising from the time Daniel LaRusso defeated him in a competition, Johnny has struggled to piece his life together as an adult. Not helping matters? The fact that Daniel LaRusso is a total success. Johnny reopens Cobra Kai to help teach some local kids karate — and to make money, reclaim his good name, and to piss Daniel off. Cobra Kai follows the resurrection of Cobrai Kai karate studio as well as the rise of Daniel’s rival dojo.

If you missed Cobra Kai when it was on YouTube Red, you’ll soon be able to binge it when it premieres on Netflix. While all three original Karate Kid movies are currently streaming on Netflix, they won’t be for much longer. Here’s what you need to know about watching Cobra Kai and The Karate Kid trilogy on Netflix…
