‘Good Bones’ Picked Up for 14 More Episodes at HGTV

The Two Chicks and a Hammer crew isn’t going anywhere. HGTV has picked up 14 additional episodes of Good Bones, starring mother-daughter duo Karen E Laine and Mina Starsiak Hawk. The news comes halfway through Good Bones‘ immensely popular fifth season, which has attracted more than 19.8 million total viewers since it premiered in June.

Good Bones follows lovable mother-daughter duo Karen and Mina as they renovate homes across the greater Indianapolis area. Karen, an attorney, and Mina, a real estate agent and soon-to-be mother of two, began flipping houses in their free time in the early aughts, and in 2008, they opened a home rehab business named Two Chicks and a Hammer. After eight years of rebuilding some of the city’s most dilapidated properties, the duo scored their own HGTV series, Good Bones, and it quickly became a hit on the home improvement network.

The series had been a steady performer for HGTV, but the currently-airing fifth season has reached new levels of success. According to the network, Good Bones Season 5 is on pace to be the highest-rated installment of the series among all 25 to 54 year olds and women aged 25-54. The show has amassed 19.8 million total viewers since its June 9 premiere, making it a top five cable program among W25-54 and upscale W25-54 and a top 10 cable program among P25-54 and upscale P25-54 in its Tuesday 9/8c time slot.

HGTV also reports that Good Bones has been the number-one most-watched series on digital platform HGTV Go since June 9, while associated content has generated more than 4.3 million views across social platforms.

The 14 newly-ordered episodes of Good Bones are scheduled to premiere in Summer 2021. In the meantime, fans can continue to watch new episodes of Season 5 every Tuesday through September 8. Loyal viewers can also keep up with Mina’s pregnancy journey through her digital series, Mina’s IVF Journey, available on HGTV.com and HGTV’s Facebook and IGTV pages.

Good Bones airs every Tuesday at 9/8c on HGTV.
